Apples to apples, never oranges
A LinkedIn post is never averaged against a TikTok. Every rank, every benchmark and every “your best post” is computed inside one platform, against that platform only.
A hole is not a zero
Instagram does not report shares on a post we read from a public URL. Most tools record that as zero and quietly average it in. Hype Machine records it as unknown — and drops the metric from both sides of the comparison instead.
Too small to rank stays unranked
Four posts is not a distribution. Below the floor, Hype Machine says “not enough posts to rank yet” rather than handing you a badge that the sample cannot support.
